Security Business Management This module will introduce learners to the importance of understanding the business in which they are involved and where security fits in with the company’s objectives. Security Project Management It is crucial that Security Managers understand the Project Management process. Very often, Security Managers may be involved in a new build project or a refurbishment, and this module will offer the learner the opportunity to understand how contractors and installers approach a security project. Physical and electronic security This will introduce students to the most current security target hardening systems on the market, and will once again allow the Security Manager, by selecting the correct equipment which suits his organization, to see a return on investment.
 

Instructors

This course is delivered by Daniel Adendorff NHD Police Administration, EDSA, MSc Security Management.

Daniel has been involved in the international security industry for the past 30 years. Originally from South Africa, Daniel moved to the UK and worked for six years as Site Manager for various guarding companies on the Eurostar Contract. Daniel received numerous medals and commendations during his 13 years of service in the Police. Daniel completed a Masters in Security Management degree with distinction at a Loughborough University Business school, placing himself at the forefront of modern day security management and technology in security and established himself as a leading academic.

Daniel’s research won the inaugural Sir Wilf Knight 2009 award; he also won the ASC Lord Imbert 2010 prize for the best university dissertation. Daniel is a sought after public speaker and makes regular appearances as guest speaker at security and crime conferences. As former owner and director, he build Oryx Security up from zero to a staff compliment of 700 people with a turnover of several million pounds, providing security to blue chip clients. Presently as a director of Symbiotic Security he is tasked and responsible for the strategic management of the company.
